Fat Sal’s is a tasty deli located in Westwood, California near UCLA. It is co-owned by Sal, Josh, and actor Jerry Ferrara. Jerry is known from his role as Turtle on HBO’s show Entourage and he recently starred in the hit comedy Think Like A Man. Their menu is filled with delicious salads, Philly cheese steaks, and a unique selection of fries.
Their “fat sandwiches” even have their own names. “The Joey” consists of pastrami and turkey with melted Swiss cheese. Along with this you get cole slaw fries and Russian dressing. It is a great place to go with friends and family because everything is at an affordable price. If you know someone who is up for a food challenge they can try the Big Fat Fatty. This epic sandwich costs about $50 and it is served on 27 inch garlic hero bread. This sandwich has basically everything on the menu plus more. If you eat this in 40 minutes or less it’s free and you can actually create and name your very own sandwich. Fat Sal’s brings a New York style deli to the Los Angles area. One of the best things of Los Angeles is the FN whether and with that many nights lounging out by the pool of The Standard. A two peace is not always necessary but a great since of style is.

Directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux, Backbeat is making its American premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre in Downtown LA before moving on to Broadway. Backbeat is based on the 1994 film of the same name, and tells the story of the early days of The Beatles in Hamburg, Germany, where they performed rock ‘n’ roll covers every night.
For Beatles fans, Backbeat is an unforgettable trip to the early 1960s, when John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Pete Best (the drummer before Ringo Starr joined the group) and Stuart Sutcliffe (the band’s original bassist) began honing what would become the world-famous Beatles sound. Backbeat features many of the all-time rock ‘n’ roll classics that the Beatles cut their teeth on: Money, Long Tall Sally, Twist and Shout, Good Golly Miss Molly, Please Mr. Postman, Rock ‘n’ Roll Music and more.
